Today we honor the memory of millions who perished in the Second World War — a tragedy that reshaped the world and tested the limits of human resilience.
On this day, we remember not only the past but also recognize the painful echoes in our present. 80 years after the victory over Nazism in Europe, we are once again called to defend our freedom, dignity, and humanity.
Ukrainians were among the nations that helped defeat tyranny then, and today, we carry that legacy forward, standing against new forms of the same old evil. The weapons have changed, but the values we defend remain: peace, justice, and the right to be free. We fight and we remember.
